In today’s #AtoZChallenge, let’s have a look at some vibrant structures that boost Beijing’s megacity tag.
E is for Exploring Beijing Through Photos
The snapshots posted here are all taken by me.
In tomorrow’s #AtoZChallenge, we will discover another thing made in China. It’s famous and also infamous.
Wow, that CCTV building has some crazy architecture. And I love that graffiti.
It is! Locals here call it “The Big Pants” because it looks like trousers at a certain angle (especially when you’re on the expressway!)
Oh God, that’s hilarious! You’re right, it does look like that!
But it’s a marvelous piece of structure! Quite crazy it may seem but it looks stunning when viewed on the side and the back.
Oh yes, it’s undeniably an impressive work of architecture and engineering. The nickname is just really funny to me. And what an interesting place to work as well. A building like that would have a truly unique interior layout.
I know. That’s why they changed their international channel to CGTN (China Global Television Network). I worked there for a year and I must say there’s pretty nothing inside. The building is so huge despite having hundreds of employees working in a single day.
The Temple of Heaven appears on an old airmail stamp that I posted recently on a Sunday Stamps theme – but nothing prepared to see a magnificent photo like the one you’ve shown. Marvellous series of photos from Beijing
Cool, I will check your post in a short while. There are a lot of places here to explore, especially the “hutongs” or small streets and downtown areas where there are no skyscrapers.
The clicks are just amazing… awesome… loved them… added in my wishlist.. to-travel list.. 🙂
